Event Description

Are you interested in material cultures of marine navigation, law and literature, narratives of travel and exploration, early modern mercantile or marine history, or something similar?

Let us know about how a new project creating an online edition of High Court of Admiralty documents could best be made useful to you. For details visit: http://marinelives-theshippingnews.org/blog/2012/10/22/call-for-participants-in-marinelives-phd-online-forum/

The focus groups will take place some time in the last week of November.

Hi Sue, that's brilliant. If you had time, do apply to join a focus group through the email link available at http://marinelives-theshippingnews.org/blog/2012/10/22/call-for-par... as we'd love to hear about your research. We have another PhD researcher from America who works on pirates participating in the focus groups too, so pirate-related chat could be had! If you wanted, you could also volunteer to work on the project itself. Thanks for your interest anyway!

I'm very interested in this as I've just started my PhD in early modern literature about pirates, mobility and utopian ideas and this project would be extremely useful for my work.
