The Comics Grid is a collaboratively edited and authored blog dedicated to the analysis of specific comics page layouts and panels.
The Grid seeks to function as an online laboratory where different critical approaches to comics are publicly and collectively put to test. It was initially conceived by comics scholars Roberto Bartual, Esther Claudio, Ernesto Priego, Greice Schneider and Tony Venezia in discussions in conferences in London, Manchester, Copenhagen and Leeds.
Do you practice comics scholarship? We welcome contributions. There are several different ways of doing it. If you’re interested please email us to comicsgrid AT gmail DOT com with some information about your work and how you could contribute.
Occasionally, The Grid will also help to promote and discuss current comics scholarly activity such as conferences, courses, research projects, calls for submissions, publications, online resources, archives, etc., through this blog or our Twitter account @ComicsGrid.
Alternatively you can also keep track of the links we share through our Trunk.ly account. Please follow us!
