Sembene Ousmane's Ideology by Ekua Agha at Malet Street, Room 629

Ekua Agha will be focusing on the issue of National Liberation politics in the works of Ousmane Sembene. She will be focusing on Smebene's ideology via his biographer - Samba Gadjigo whose book 'Ousmane Sembene: The Making of a Militant Artist' captures Sembene's idea of liberation for colonised subjects. First Post-colonial Reading Group Seminar

The first seminar will take place on Monday 14th March at 43 Gordon Square, Room 112, from 7.00 to 9.00 pm. The Topic is 'Peter Carey's Jack Maggs: Writing Back to Great Expectations' by Professor Janet Wilson. She is a Professor of English and Postcolonial Studies at the University of Northampton and the editor of the Journal of Postcolonial Writing.
