The next reading for the Sceptical Reading Group is Thomas Ligotti's The Conspiracy Against the Human Race (attached). Please join us for wine, chat, and anguished despair on Monday 2nd December at 6pm.
Look at your body—
A painted puppet, a poor toy
Of jointed parts ready to collapse,
A diseased and suffering thing
With a head full of false imaginings.

Dear All,
The first meeting of the sceptical reading group will be on Monday 7th October, 6-7.30pm in Room 112, 43 Gordon Square.
We will be looking at Straw Dogs and The Silence of Animals by John Gray - we thought chapters 1 & 2 of Straw Dogs and the first chapter of Silence (both now uploaded on Dandelion) if you haven't got the time or inclination to read further. We'll also add a few critical responses to those texts.
There will be loads of wine provided to hopefully facilitate a lively, friendly discussion, and stave off any despair in the face of a meaningless, indifferent universe.
All best wishes,
James and Matt
