Early Modern Reading Group

Our next meeting is on 15 May 2013 and we have chosen two essays by Montaigne: ‘On Friendship’ and ‘On Pedantry’. Montaigne’s essays are widely available so we have not selected a particular edition. In addition to discussing the essays themselves, we thought it would be interesting to discuss ways in which we can see Montaigne’s influence on other works that we have read; or perhaps their common influences?
