Thanks for your enthusiasm and interest in the Slow Looking group. We look forward to meeting some of you next week at our first meeting. We will meet at the main entrance to the Victoria and Albert Museum at 2:45-3pm Friday January 28th. I will be selecting the object for this first meeting and we'll see how it goes. I'll have a bit of additional information prepared and some starting off points for formal analysis, but really it's up to all of us to move the discussion along.

We plan to discuss for an hour or so and afterwards we'll go for a pint nearby. There are some pubs with decent reviews online within 10-15 mins walking distance from the V&A (the Queen's Arms, Drayton Arms, or the Anglesea Arms are the ones that looked least touristy). A 20 minute bus ride north to Notting Hill is an apparently excellent pub, the Churchill Arms with great, cheap Thai food and called one of the 10 best in London.
